Overview

For more than three decades, the Rappahannock-Rapidan Regional Commission (RRRC) has worked to enhance the region's livability. As the region's economic and workforce development agency, the Commission brings together community resources to achieve the region's vision of a vital economy with healthy towns and neighborhoods and quality jobs for all residents. It does so in part by leveraging public funds from federal, state and local sources to stimulate private investment.

RRRC services focus on housing development, neighborhood revitalization, tourism promotion, and business development.

The Commission has worked to improve the connection between workforce programs and the needs of the marketplace. We have done this by focusing our efforts in the areas of housing, education, social service and physical infrastructure improvements. These connections bring greater efficiencies and results to the programs and the community.
