Culpeper County Disability Services Board

The 2006 Culpeper County DSB Needs Assessment is available!

Meeting Announcement:  The Culpeper County Disability Services Board will meet on July 22nd at 10am at the Regional Commission offices.  For additional information, please contact Patrick Mauney at (540) 829-7450.

The mission of the Culpeper County Disability Services Board (CC-DSB) is to plan and advocate for persons of all ages in Culpeper County who have physical and/or sensory disabilities, and to fulfill the duties and responsibilities as specified for a Disability Services Board in Section 51.5-48, Code of Virginia.

The Board's vision is a barrier-free community supporting independent living and self-sufficiency for people with disabilities.

To fulfill the mission and vision, the goals of the CCDSB are to:

Learn the needs of area residents who have physical and/or sensory disabilities.
Raise local and state awareness of those needs.
Foster innovations to include people with disabilities into mainstream community life.

The Board's local Department of Rehabilitative Services Liaison is Warren Blatz.

The Culpeper County Disability Services Board is a member of the Culpeper County Chamber of Commerce.

The Culpeper Disability Board meets on the fourth Tuesday of every odd month at 10:00 a.m. in the conference room of the Rappahannock-Rapidan Regional Commission. Please call the Regional Commission to confirm a meeting.
