Heritage on the Constitution Highway"
May 22, 2002

8:30am to 3:15pm
The first RRRC Living Towns Planning Workshop
was held on May 22, 2002 in the Town of Orange and featured speakers and
topics centered on the theme of Exploring Our History on the Constitution
Highway. Three panels of speakers explored topics ranging from the
economic benefits of Heritage Tourism to Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities
Planning to Preservation Tax Credits. Workshop participants were also
treated to a walking tour of the Town of Orange with local guides offering
a glimpse of the town's past as a small, rural Virginia community. A late
