The ninth annual RRRC Living Towns Planning
Workshop, held this year in the beautiful and historic Town of The Plains
in Fauquier County was yet another information-packed and well-attended
proceeding. The theme of this year's workshop, Maintaining Small
Town Character, featured three dynamic panels of speakers on topics
ranging from sustainable agriculture development to Rural Historic Districts
and African-American heritage to downtown revitalization and recreational
trail development. Workshop attendees left with valuable insights into
community engagement, community development and planning practices. Our
thanks to all of the attendees and moderators for a most enjoyable and
informative day!
