Rural Transportation Technical Committee

The Rural Transportation Technical Committee is an opportunity for planning directors, transportation planners, transit providers and other transportation stakeholders from throughout the Rappahannock-Rapida region to meet and discuss ongoing projects of regional interest, statewide transportation regulations and plans and other topics related to the region's transportation planning goals. While information exchange is the primary objective, the Committee also provides input on state transportation planning initiatives and works with RRRC staff to develop and implement the region's Rural Transportation Work Program each year. Previously, the Rural Transportation Committee coordinated review and comments on the Regional Long Range Transportation Plan, adopted by the Regional Commission in 2011.

Rural Technical Committee Meeting Schedule

The RRRC Rural Transportation Technical Committee, unless otherwise scheduled, meets the first Wednesday of every month at the Regional Commission offices. Please call (540) 829-7450 for details.
