In partnership with the Virginia Housing Alliance, the Rappahannock-Rapidan Regional Commission is actively seeking an organized, driven individual to serve as the Training, Development, & Equity VISTA to help develop community partnerships, identify locations for in-person assessments, and seek methods for utilizing FHN data in decision-making and project management. The VISTA will focus on enhanced data collection and tracking of CoC projects focusing on disparities in referrals, services, and assistance among folks experiencing homelessness, and implementing Housing First best practices for FHN member organizations using a lens of racial equity. The VISTA will support FHN efforts to increase public knowledge regarding poverty and homelessness through strategic outreach efforts with a particular focus on racial equity, faith-based, and healthcare organizations. The successful VISTA will continue previous efforts of past AmeriCorps members in developing enhanced capacity with RRRC and partner organizations, and advance strategic activities designed to improve outcomes for anyone entering the homeless services system in the region and across Virginia.
